Rossby-Haurwitz waves are important explicit solutions of the incompressible Euler equation on a rotating sphere. In this talk, I will discuss a recent progress on the orbital stability of degree-2 Rossby-Haurwitz waves. This is a joint work with Prof. Daomin Cao and Bijun Zuo. |
